1.1 Information You Provide

Resume Data: When you upload your resume, the text is stored locally in your browser's storage only. We do NOT store your resume on our servers except temporarily during AI answer generation, and it is immediately deleted after processing.

Account Information: When you sign in, we collect your email address to create and manage your account.

Job Application Data: We collect job descriptions and questions you scan, along with the AI-generated answers, solely to provide our service.

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

Usage Data: We track the number of applications you submit per month to enforce free tier limits and provide analytics.

Technical Data: Browser type, extension version, error logs, and API response times for troubleshooting.

Payment Information: Processed by Whop (our payment provider). We do NOT store your credit card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide AI-generated answers to job application questions
• Authenticate your account
• Track usage for free tier enforcement (5 applications per month)
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Improve our service through analytics and error monitoring
• Send service-related notifications (payment confirmations, usage alerts)

• JWT tokens for secure authentication (7-day expiry)
• Industry-standard database encryption
• Regular security audits and updates

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Anthropic (Claude API): For AI answer generation. Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• Whop: For payment processing. Subject to Whop's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase: For database hosting. Subject to Supabase's Privacy Policy.
• Sentry: For error tracking (anonymized data only).

5. Data Retention

• Resume Data: Stored locally in your browser until you delete it or uninstall the extension.
• Account Data: Stored as long as your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
• Usage Data: Retained for 12 months for analytics and billing purposes.
• Payment Data: Stored by Whop according to their retention policy.

6. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and data
• Export your data
• Opt-out of marketing communications
• Object to data processing

8. Children's Privacy

ResumeRift is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
